Mackie Hill Junior and Infant School

Our early years’ sports days went wonderfully today with children being able to showcase their exceptional teamwork and sports skills! 

Tomorrow, following the Ks2 sports day, children will need to return to school with their class and will exit via their usual classroom door at the normal time of 3.15pm. Unfortunately, we will not have the staffing capacity to safely dismiss 4 classes early, as this usually means collecting siblings from other classrooms and many of our older children walk home. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this. 

We also have our celebration assembly at 2.45 where children will receive their well earned certificates from the week before. 

A reminder that it is permitted (and encouraged) that parents bring their own fold up seating/picnic blankets to enjoy the races. Whilst there is ample shade for the children, the shade for the spectators is limited so please do bear this in mind. We hope that by cutting the races down, and dividing the afternoon into two parts, you won’t be sat out for too long.
