We have a small number of confirmed cases in school. These children are being cared for at home and have antibiotics and can return to school, if they are well enough, within 24 hours. We have 2 cases within our Nursery class and 2 other isolated cases in other classes. None of these children were in school yesterday so the transmission rate continues to be low.
The Public Health Team in Wakefield have been informed and do not have any additional advice to issue to school or parents and carers at the moment. Please continue to be vigilant to symptoms and refer to my previous letter from last week.
