Everyone at Mackie Hill are saddened to hear of the passing of her majesty Queen Elizabeth II after 70 years of loyal service to the country. Rest in peace Your Majesty.
During assembly today, we have remembered the life of the queen and shared our favourite memories, including the Jubilee Paddington Bear video. As official arrangements and announcements are made, we will incorporate age appropriate activities into our lessons.
In light of this news, I will send our first term newsletter on Monday, rather than today, which will include arrangements for upcoming school events and celebrations.
Finally, we have had a wonderful week welcoming our familiar and new families into school. As ever, your children are wonderful and have settled back into school life with ease.
