This May, local libraries and other venues across the Wakefield district are celebrating words by holding a wide range of free, exciting events and activities for WordFest. From author talks and storytelling to music and film showings, there is
something for everyone!
WordFest is led by Wakefield Libraries and combines the power of our spoken and written language through shared
stories and reading, performances, singing, craft and creative writing with the 2022 festival theme of science and
