WWF Green Ambassador Award

2013 Award

During our work with the Green Team, we came across the WWF Green Ambassador Award and felt that the children in our school were committed and enthusiastic enough to be put forward for this prestigious award.

After much deliberation, both Miss Tansley and Mrs Purser agreed that Jodie from Fabulous Foxes (at the time) had set such a fantastic example to other children and held such enthusiasm for nature that she indeed deserved this award for 2013.

2014 Award

For the 2014, both Miss Tansley and Mrs Purser had no doubt who the winner would be! After lovingly building a hedgehog home for our Mini- beast Corner with her Grandad, they also built two nest boxes which have given some local blue tits a new home.

Sophie from Super Squirrels (at the time) is dedicated and enthusiastic and definitely deserved the award this year. She attends every Green Team session and always goes above and beyond for wildlife!

2015 Award

This year we were allowed to choose two of our Green Team heroes who we thought deserved the award so we decided to choose one boy and one girl who had impressed us this year.

Both leaders decided that due to their commitment, enthusiasm and wonderful attitude Jodie (from Fabulous Foxes) and Aiden (from Eager Eagles) were well deserving of this amazing award. They have such a lovely way with the younger children and inspire others to put 100% into all forms of nature at Mackie Hill.

2016 Award
