The School Council
Staff Chair: Mrs Purser
Our school council consists of two elected pupils from each class from Years 2 to 6.
Meetings are held every term with Mrs Purser to organise forthcoming events and discuss any school issues. ... chairs the meetings and in her absence ... steps up from his vice chair position.
Our current project is 'Tuck shop Thursdays' which is proving to be a very successful venture. Money raised from our teddy bear tombola at the last school fair was used to fund the start up costs.
Our council has a duty to represent the other pupils in our school, to express their opinions, communicate with staff and the community to enable changes to be made to benefit our school and its pupils.
Our school council meets with Mrs Barker at least once every term.
One of the things that the school council has implemented is that at lunchtimes books are provided in the shelter, so people can read without being disturbed.
